ABOUT US
We are non-profit organization, comprised of volunteers, serving Ouray
County. We plan and sponsor one or two art shows annually, with the
major show being The Artists' Alpine Holiday. This show is held for eight days during the
summer months, usually in August. The Association often has a fall or winter
art show,
which is for Western Slope Artists only. The criteria for entry is
different
than for the summer event. It is not a juried show, but is quite
popular
with local artists. We also have had a miniature show, plus a spring
gallery
walk in Ridgway and Ouray. Other ideas are always welcome.
Our membership consists of individuals, families, businesses and
organizations who donate funds for our cause - promoting art
appreciation in this area.
In
order to continue to promote the advancement of art, and the
appreciation
of it in Ouray County, we need the financial help of many. Our
volunteers work hard to bring you visual arts programs that
we hope you will enjoy. Their efforts will be to no avail, however,
unless
we have financial support to continue this work.

Artists'
Alpine Holiday, other artistic endeavors, and the annual art
scholarship
program of the Ouray County Arts Association will continue to be a
legacy for future generations.
